Daniel was excellent at making a very cold day look warm and comfortable! :) My hands were frozen on to the camera after our session!  (not really, but it was super chilly!)

Courtney easily stole the show from the lovely architecture and the enchanting forest. She was so easy to talk to … which makes me think … I’m not sure if I like photographing seniors better or just hanging out with them during the session. :)

If you know Paige, you’ll know that she is happy, kind, fun, sweet, and her laugh is super contagious! We had to work pretty hard for the ‘serious’ looks! haha! It was also lots of fun photographing Paige and her sister together – they had quite the time trying not to smile or laugh! Of course, then […]

Janelle was so fun to work with – she had a quiet confidence, a sweet personality, and I could tell she was naturally creative. She knew precisely how to look fabulous in a beautiful location! I hope you have a great senior year, and I’m sure you’ll love and do so well in college, Janelle!

This was seriously the perfect day for senior portraits…warm-ish weather, beautiful fall trees, and a fabulous location!  Mom and Dad shared an anniversary glass of wine while Matt and I walked around the grounds and took some photographs – such a fun time! Enjoy the rest of your senior year, Matt!!

Jake was so easy to be around – friendly, kind and so easy to talk to! Hope you have a great senior year, Jake – enjoy! We also captured some fun family portraits…scroll down to see them. :) It’s such a great idea to combine senior portraits with family portraits!

Shane is a kind leader and a gifted basketball player. And after watching him interact with his brother and sister, it’s obvious that he will be missed at home next year by everyone! He was helpful, kind, and patient. Mom & Dad, I’m sure you’re proud! <3

I love when things aren’t as they appear…sort of like a little surprise.  Well, here’s one for you… Anna fits right in with this urban scene. She knew the look and nailed it. However, don’t mistake her for a city girl…she lives in a 1700’s schoolhouse in the country and is a great hunter! Her true personality shines […]

ah! It was the perfect day for Emma’s senior portraits – it was warm (sorta) and the leaves were absolutely beautiful at Peace Valley Park! It was so nice meeting you, Emma – I hope you have a fabulous senior year! <3

Pierce grew up in Hawaii.  I’ve always wanted to visit the big island…with Avocado trees in my back yard and cows roaming through the neighborhood. :)  We ended Pierce’s senior session with some great family shots. I love this idea because, as we all know, they don’t stay young forever. Have a great rest of […]

whoa…I’ll be honest, this blog post is a tough one for me. I survived our older two kids, Hayley and Brandon, growing up, graduating and leaving for college…and now there’s Noah. I’ve done my very best to try not ‘smother’ him since he’s the last one at home :)  He has grown into a wonderful young […]

Olivia was so fun to hang out with during her senior portraits!  It seemed like we did more laughing than photographing…haha! She’s just a happy kinda girl, you know? :)  The proof is in her awesome pineapple shoes…

This senior portrait session was especially fun for me because Hannah is a fellow photography-lover and appreciates the art. Photography may seem easy, however, while I am interacting with clients (trying to make them feel comfortable, relaxed and confident…which is an art itself!), I’m also evaluating the light, aperture, pose, expression, etc. It’s one giant balancing […]

If you know Ashley, you’ll know she’s organized and motivated…two awesome qualities that will take her far in life for sure! There are so many wonderful professions, but education is the perfect way to invest in the generations of the future. Teachers help, support, advise, and obviously teach. Ashley, as a teacher, you’ll be blessed […]

It’s a privilege and a blessing when I am asked to take the senior portrait for a young adult whom I’ve known since kindergarten….and Cassie is one of those. For the sake of embarrassment I won’t add a photo here of her and my youngest son on a kindergarten ‘playdate’…it’s adorable. However, that cute kindergarten […]
